Yumli (“the App”) is developed by Viktor Ilin, an independent developer based in Chernivtsi, Ukraine (“I”, “me”, “my”). This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
1. What Data Is Collected
Account information (when you sign in):
- Sign in with Apple details: your name, your email address (or the private relay email Apple provides), and a unique account identifier
Profile information you provide:
- Body metrics and fitness details used to tailor your plan and estimate your daily calorie needs: biological sex, age, height, weight, and activity level
- Your goals (for example: eat healthier, lose weight, build muscle)
- Cooking skill level and preferred units of measurement
- Dietary preferences (diet type, allergies, food dislikes, cuisine preferences)
- Meal plan settings (number of meals per day, plan duration, optional calorie target)
- Feedback you send through the App
Information collected automatically:
- Device type, operating system version, language
- Anonymous usage data (features used, crashes, performance)
- Advertising ID (only if you allow tracking)
I do not collect your precise location, photos, or contacts.
2. How Your Data Is Used
- To create and secure your account, and to keep your preferences and meal plans in sync across your devices when you are signed in
- To estimate your daily calorie target and generate personalized meal plans based on your preferences, goals, and body metrics
- To process Yumli Pro subscriptions
- To show ads to free tier users
- To fix bugs and improve the App
I do not sell your data.
3. Third-Party Services
To run the App I rely on standard service providers that process data on my behalf:
- A cloud platform for sign-in, secure storage of your account and preferences, and crash/usage analytics
- A subscription provider to manage Yumli Pro
- An AI service that selects meals from your preferences — your name, email, and account identifier are never sent to it
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases
- Google AdMob, to show ads to free users — you can opt out of ad tracking (see Section 4). Policy
Your data may be processed in countries outside Ukraine, including the EU and the United States.
4. Your Data, Your Choices
Your meal plans are stored on your device and can be deleted anytime via “Delete Menus” in the App. When you are signed in, your profile, preferences, and meal plans are also stored in your private cloud space so they stay in sync across your devices.
You have the right to:
- Access the data I hold about you
- Correct or delete it
- Sign out at any time, or request deletion of your account and all associated cloud data by emailing me
- Opt out of ad tracking (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking)
- Subscribe to Pro to remove ads entirely
EU/EEA users: Under GDPR, you also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

5. Children
Yumli is not intended for users under 13. If you believe a child has used the App, contact me and I will delete their data.
6. Changes
If I update this policy, I will change the “Last Updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated version.
